Prayer

Hello!

We just played the scenario Depletion for the first time, and we finished the game with mixed feelings.

If a player is keeping their Prayers Markers for later use and manages to bring a figure to an enemy scenario objective, can this figure take simple scenario actions to score 3 Scenario Points as long as they're not Exhausted? Are the points cumulative and do they carry between turns?

Basicaly, I had Katsumi camp an objective, Rin finished off everyone nearby, and there was no one left who could dare oppose them. My opponent, who was playing Ito Clan, had been scoring SPs almost everywhere, but that got him less SPs than me spaming scenario actions on my enemy-alligned scenario objectives.

It felt dull, especially that my opponent worked hard with good tactics throughout the game to take objectives and prevent me from scoring.

In Depletion the points stack and do not reset. So giving you free reign on a enemy scenario objective while using his prayers at less important objectives sounds like bad tactics were employed by your opponent rather than good.

After scoring a VP the most prayed at objective on the table gets removed though. Maybe you overlooked that part?

We were aware of the objective removal, but on turn 4 Katsumi was starting safely in contact with an enemy objective, which means 2 Scenario Actions (6 SPs). Rin was around and could have done it as well.
At that point, my opponent had been scoring mostly on allied and neutral objectives, so he could no longer beat me.

So looks like we did not understand the true goal of the scenario when we started. Now it's clear.
Thank you! :)
