Ronin in Garrison of the Damned
Just a noob here, I've noticed on the wiki that if you see the available Ronin for a themed Garrison of the Damned, It has 11 of the Ronin available to take, I put Battlescribe on my phone so I could muck around with lists at work and it only lists one. Which one is correct? Thanks in advance for the help :-)

The Wiki has it correct, based on p17 of the rulebook. I'll get the Battlescribe file updated this week. Track development here.

If you find more errors, please let me know :)

Actually Battlescribe would be correct in this instance, this was discussed in https://gctstudios.com/forum/shakey-0 regarding Serpant's Coil not having a Permited section and Ronin. Jason Enos advised:

P17 Should read:

Theme Card Traits:
Permitted (Type): Only models with a matching type can be recruited into this Warband, Ronin models of the type may only be included if the theme states Ronin of that type are permitted.
If a Theme list card does not have this trait, all models from the chosen Faction are available to recruit into the theme.
If a Ronin Theme list card does not have this trait, all models from the chosen Faction and all Ronin available to that Faction are available to recruit into the theme.

So for Garrison of the Damned, the only Ronin that should be allowed in it is the Ancestor Spirit due to it being allowed in Themes as if it were a faction model.

Isn't it wierd though, all the ronin I look at on the gct store that are available on the wiki have the following in thier description- This model can be fielded as part of a warband affiliated with the following factions: Ito Clan Minimoto Clan Prefecture of Ryu Silvermoon Syndicate Temple of Ro-Kan The Descension

A "no-theme" warband can include all the ronins affiliated to your faction (you can even go full-ronin).

But once you add a theme, only the permitted ronins (specifically permitted on the theme card) can join.

Basically that's what themes are, a trade : you gain bonuses, but at the cost of more restrictions.

You can include them in a minimoto list, just not when using one of the themes. Most factions themes do not allow ronin, or only allow the odd one to be included.

You don't have to use a theme when building a list, they are designed to give you a small bonus in exchange for limiting your hiring options. The minimoto just have the downside of being a new faction so they don't have as many choices available when using a theme currently. They do have several models on the horizon to give them these choices though.

Look at the Ronin Theme, Ordered for Battle. Almost certainly the most powerful theme in the game. Every faction can take it, and it allows Ronin.

Lots of new stuff for Minimoto on the way.
