Which Kami?
I've been playing an all monk list for the "Righteous Warriors" theme and gaining a free Kami. The question is which one to go for, I've tried 3 out of the 4 available (obviously still not void/metal....yet....hint hint GCT). i just can't make up my mind which one to take.

Fire Kami

is fast and can fly! Combined with dodge and auto-disengage can be quite tricky to pin down.

With 2 MS dice it can fight a bit, not great but ok in a push, is durable of course plus fire tokens.

passes on its firey goodness to a monk in btb in the starting phase +1 MS plus fire (1) which is very useful as a boost and means I can sacrifice dice for throw/slam attacks and still use Ki.

Air Kami

Is v fast and can fly! Combined with dodge, ranged defence, auto-disengage and parry again v tricky to pin down. With only 1 dice in MS you really are up against, he really does not want to get pinned down in melee

Has a ranged attack which can push and change facings of opponents, could be useful - I've not really made good use of that yet despite the potential.

Able to pass on its lovely windiness (ooh er) to a monk in btb in the starting phase, +1 move and light footed has some good scenario applications, although a lot of monks can boost move anyway.

Earth Kami

Is slow, slow, slow… Move 3 with no elusive, auto-disengage or any of the other defensive or quick traits – dodges, ranged defence etc but….

He’s good in melee, only 2 MS dice but he’s brutal (1), can't be made prone with Steady, durable but even if it's wounded the opponent automatically cause a wound in return and he can regenerate that wound/Ki unlike other Kami (I might be reading that wrong though, as he is a Kami which states he can't regenerate or regain Ki, but he has 1 / 2 on his card?? Rets/master T clarity please) he has got armour (3) so wounding him in the first place becomes a chore

He can pass on his rocky hardness to a monk in btb with it in the starting phase. Armour (2) is useful for my unarmoured/non-tough monks who almost always have to throw some defence or be carved up. However he is still slow and struggles to keep up with my pacy band of brothers.

Water Kami

This is the Kami I've not used before as I tend to use Aiko's blessings to heal, so can only comment on how he looks on paper.

Slow….. Can only move 3 but is light footed and can dodge, auto-disengage and other goodness. However you don't want him in combat, you want him healing your tired and poorly monks. If he does get wounded he is durable so takes one Ki lost from a pool of 3! (Compared to 2 for the others) and causes the opponent to become slow until the end phase.

As stated above he is a healer when he passes on his watery wonder onto a monk in btb in the starting phase.

So that's what I have to choose from and I'm really struggling to make up my mind. More than likely it won't be water unless someone can change my mind, but which of the three others?

Thoughts? Advice please,  plus clarification on the Earth Kami…

his score means he actually gets ki unlike any other kami in the game... so a durable kami regenerating 1 ki each turn will be a pain to kill!

thanks Ret-darkframboisier.  Have you got a fave kami? I seriously like them all.....

actually the earth one is my favourite juste because he's a hard-ass

the fire kami might come second because of his 6 move stat & fly, + he burns when hit...

the water kami would come last for me, I usually prefer to heal with Aiko's blessing
