Hey, glad you like it, let us know how if it manages to climb up the ranks :)
Have no fears on the mini front, we release a mini per faction every two months and to date have a perfect track record. This will remain the case when the Ito are unleashed as well!

I can't wait... the game
I can't wait... the game system with the whole hidden attack and defence dice and using Ki to boost dice and pull off feats, etc is very cool and the models are Pure dead brilliant!
As I said, in only a week it has already passed Lord of the Rings SBG (which is an impressive feat since its a game I love soo much that it actually survived the hate I have for the company that makes it- their other products were sold off on mass in the last few months after 15 years of playing them) and warmachine/hordes as well as Dystopian wars and well, every other game that are too many to mention. To be number 4 on my list of games is a huge deal, especially since, A) I play alot of games B) I have only been into Bushido for a very very short time C) Its barely behind Star Wars minis and Star Wars is my all-time favorite IP that there could ever be, and D) its not even really that far behind the 3rd place spot since star wars minis isn't in production anymore and is really only still being championed by me and my massive thousands of star wars models collection that I lend out so others can play too.
I'm loving Bushido... it does something different than the other games I'm playing right now.

Hi
Hi
Im from Staffordshire and have been slavering over the nice looking miniatures for this game for a bit and am eagerly awaiting my first sample to arrive.
I was totally looking at The Cult until I saw the recent greens for The Ito, so am hanging on for them as a starter for my birthday!
Having said that all the models look full of character so probably will eventually collect them all anyway!
Hi all,
Hi all,
I'm from the Denver Colorado area. I don't think anybody around here has heard of this game yet, but maybe I can change that. I got in because of the indiegogo campaign, so I'm anxiously awaiting some models!
All the factions look great to me, and I'm loving the ancient far east asthetic. I read part of the original rules and it made me interested enough to try it. Now I'll have to go check out the New Dawn rules, since it sounds like they are a nice improvement.
I've only been actually playing Mini wargames for about 2 years, mostly Warmachine and Hordes. However, I've tried several times through the years to play GW games, but just never made it stick. I guess my addiction begins now!

Hi My name is Gaz
i have spent quite a bit of money on Oshiro Buildings which I am in the middle of painting I am collecting the Cult of Yuri as I think they really stand out and I really like the models I am waiting to see when the Ito become available but also really like the look of the savage wave I do think that some of the models for the prefecture of Ryu could be better though
my question is having never played one game is how easy is it to learn I play 40k and just bought the x wing game which is great
I just saw Bushido at a convention really liked the models so I bought the Cult of Yuri my friend bought the funky monks
My first ever post on a gaming site so sorry if it is all over the place
Hi, and welcome.
Hi, and welcome.
Yes Bushido is easy.
Actually, when you'll first read the rules, you'll find it complicated, but this is an appearance and a question of precision.
The advice I could give you is to play a first game with the rule book in your hands (tip : start by the page describing all the actions you can take and pick one!). At the end of the game, you'll find all that easy after all.
There are very few cumulative effects to take in account, and most of the rules are immediate.
Tip#2 prepare loads of tokens, for the ki and the fear effects
Don't hesitate if you have any question, this forum is full of folks more than glad to help!
Thanks for the quick reply
Thanks for the quick reply Malhorme hopefully I will get to play a game soon I just want the board and models to look good first so quite a bit of painting and modelling still to do but I will take your advice onboard i had the idea of using Mahjong sticks as tokens.
Thanks once again

It does look awesome yeah, so do all the sculpts across the ranges! Its rare to find a game that lacks chaff in it somewhere.
It seems that people paint their forces a model at a time to make them as awesome as possible, and with only a few figs needed a side this appeals to me as a painter more than a gamer these days.

Hi all, I decided to come over and have a look at this little game called Bushido after hearing about it on worlds end radio. It looks a great community and game and has caused be to pack away my warmachine and hordes addiction.
I've started building my board even before ordering my first figures so keep an eye out in the forums. I done this because if I get the figures first Ill never do the scenery, lol.
See you in the threads.

Hi all,
Hi all,
Last weekend I received a surprise gift from a friend for my birthday, he knew I like all things japan and above all I like the historic side of it mixed with some folklore. So he bought me a starter of the Prefecture, I can't thank him enough, because my financial situation is in a deeeeeep hole right now, but I can still start painting these awesome miniatures.
The rules look a bit intimidating ( because there are a lot of unknown icons and stuff), but after a few games I am sure it will be a good game.
I am looking forward to talking to you later.
Dimitri.

Hello again, the first battle
Hello again, the first battle went really well, we played with both our starters ( Prefecture for me and Temple for my friend), it took about 2 hours this includes the frequent reading in the rules.
But I can honestly say that this game is very very good and excactly the kind of game I would prefer playing. It is also the fastest game I play at the moment ( with my friday night gaming group, we play: Anima Tactics, Warmachine, Freebooter's Fate, Flames of War) and I really like it.
I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I have some questions after the battle:
Takeshi has a boostable range icon but he has no ranged weapon, what is the boost for?
Is it possible to run twice since it's a simple action?
There is a EA next to some rice costs, what's it for?

I knew you'd like it!
No, it isn't
There is a subforum for general rules questions, and forums for each faction where specific factions go. It makes it so much easier for others looking for answers to the same questions.
That hasn't been disclosed yet. Many of the profiles now have ranged skill but no ranged weapon. Master T has hinted that there'll be something coming that will explain it. But as yet we do not know.
Definitely. I even advice running twice while you are at it, as it gives the same penalty for the rest of the turn as running once. It does take two activations and you can change direction a little each time.
EAch. Those are cards (with more than one wound track) representing more than one model. The listed rice cost is for each model, not a 'full' card.

Really awesome game with a lot of different choices. Very divers and fast.
The only thing which was annoying was looking up all those traits. We'll learn them soon enough though, but it slowed the game quite a bit.
The best thing for me was the dice-system. I'm a below average dice-roller, but despite of that I had equally chances, although grauenacht rolled a few double sixes.
Now i can work on my list, because most of the temple seems to be support and I have to figure a way to get my meleeskilled characters to be effective as they can be.
But what an awesome game

Hello!
Hello!
My name is Márk Palotai from Hungary, Budapest. There is a new but very enthusiastic and fast growning Bushido community. I follow the game's life a year ago, but the Ito clan is the last straw to jump in.
I also play confrontation 3 with Daikinee elves and Cadwallon. I also play Hordes circle Orboros. I'm a very casual-hearted gamer and to me the fluff ang the minis are very important. I'm a noob painter but I try to develop slow and steady :).
I think It is a great game, probably the best rules I've ever seen, very good micro-management, very tactical movement, great fluff, nice and evolving minis (I think, the Itos are in the conf and infinity level of quality).
I also study HEMA(historical european martial arts) 6 years and teach it 2 years.
Welcome Mark
Welcome Mark
Glad you like the rules and that there is another Bushido community growing in the world. Feel free to ask away with any questions about the game, rules or painting as the forum has some very friendly and knowledgable people in all areas.
What is HEMA by the way?

Master T: thanks, I will :).
Master T: thanks, I will :).
HEMA is the acronym of historical european martial arts. For short there are many groups over the world, who research and study medieval and reniassance martial arts from textbooks, manuscripts and codexes because sadly we haven't any continual line of masters like the easter martial traditions. This is not re-enactment (while there are lot of peoples who involved in both) HEMA groups are like a kendo or karate or any other martial schools and groups. I specifically research, study and teach the one-handed sword and especially the sword and parrying dagger fencing from the second half of the 16th century Italy.
This is our group's english webpage: http://arsensis.hu/index.php?s=740. If you are interested, there are many great groups in England, especially in London. The people of the british Isles have a very rich and colourfull martial tradition. The London Masters of Defence was a famous martial school, whose graduating and ranking system is the basis of ours and many other groups around the world.
Ret-Henrix: to be accurate, we play a little houseruled conf 3/3.5, but there are 5-6 active players and more 10 around passive. We have a very succesfull league in the last half year. Bushido is totaly new to the community but it built solid fangroup very fast. If you come anytime to Hungary, please send me a pm and we look forward to see and play with you!
The language...Well I borned here so I understand it, but know it is one of the hardest language of the world. Interesting bit of information: we also the japanese people take the last name first and the vica-versa :).
