Nuniq's "Snare" ability.

I have a question for the feat "Snare". When she triggers the feat for an enemy's Walk action. If it fails the test, the ability states the model may not move, its Condition worsen and its action is considered resolved.

My question is does the target model become tired only from failing the test as it did not move.

Or does it become Exhausted due to the declaring of Walk action and also the failure of test for "Snare"?

Condition worsens once an Action is resolved, depending on the Action performed. The Action is considered resolved, but is not performed, so Condition will only worsen from the Snare text.

That would mean that a models condition failing Held doesnt worsen ?

Yeah, you have a point. At a tournament, I would rule that Condition only worsens by one degree for both. Will wait to see if a Master chimes in.

We always played it as you would rule it. I didn't even noticed the difference until someone asked on FB.

If I had to guess I'd say that Snare was designed way before Held existed and they were both intented to only worse condition one degree but the wording is a bit off.

My preference to fix this would be to change Snare to :

Range 12, A, 2Ki, Target model become Held.

When GCT updates the cards why not just write "condition worsens one degree" and be done with it?  Then they can put it in the rulebook right next to the section explaining that all Ki Feats and abilities without a stated time limit automatically expire during the end phase of that turn.
