Random Questions

Hi all, after the first two games of Bushido I have some questions:

Q1: Kato puppet summoning

When Kato summon his Kami, he have to position it within 2" from him. This Means:

1) He have to put the model base completely within 2" from him?

2) Ha have to put only a portion of the model base within 2" from him, so the front of the Kami could be at 3" from Kato?

Q2: Side Step Defence

When a model uses SSD it can move 1" away from the enemy. If it has another enemy directly on his back, can it uses SSD? He can move around the other model just remaning no more than 1" away, engaging the other?

Generally speaking, a model that uses SSD, Push Defence/Attack or something similar can choose the direction of the push or must move only in the opposite direction?

Q3: Combo Attack vs Rise

While doing a Combo Attack i kill a model that Rises.

Can I attack another time thanks to Combo Attack?

Thanks to all

Q1 : You can find on the 1st page of the rulebook how to mesure.

When measuring if a model or point is within a given range then exactly up to that range is considered within. E.g. if the edge of a model’s base is exactly 6" away from its Opponent’s base it is considered to be within 6"

So you can have up to 2" between Kano and the Marionette.

Q2 : You have to be carefull when reading special attack and defense, push are directly away from the model pushing, but SSD is just 1" so you can move up to 1" depending on other models ZoC

Push Defence: If the Defence is successful move the Attacker 1" directly away from the Defender.

Side Step Defence: If the Defence is successful move the Defender 1" away from the Attacker.

Q3 : Rise resolves at the end of the current action so you can't hit them again after that.

Rise(X): When this model is reduced to 0 wounds it becomes Prone. At the end of the current action or during the End Phase make a Target test with a Target Number of X. If successful the model Heals all Wounds. If it fails remove the model from play as normal.

Since rise states it occurs “after the current action or during the end phase,” that means the model’s controller chooses which, right?

The 'During the End Phase' phrase was added only to allow Rise to work when Poison, Fire, etc. take the model's last Wound.
