Before I share my entry for the contest I feel that I should add some context.
I am currently painting my Cult of Yurei so wanted to build something that would be of use to my faction. As such I looked through the selection of terrain cards available and decided to construct a Profane Idol. I have even given it a back story, which I may expand upon at a later date. All I will say for now is that village elders should be careful what they wish for and who they are wishing to!
Anyway less talk more picture.

Not nearly up to the painting standard of some of the others, but I do like my totem pole. As I wanted to keep my totem pole small size in size, I did not wanted to go up so high. and I think because of that I ended up a bit more shrine like.

It is a destroyed Torii that the Bakemono have "carved" and decorated to look like and Oni.
Basic construction is balsa wood and air drying clay.

Thinking that this might serve as a border marker, My Ryu have been along and posted a banner in reply. Revere the Emperor-Repel the Barbarians! About a week to sculpt, around two to paint.
