Silvermoon, Yurei, or Temple. Help me choose.

Recently got some buddys interested in Bushido. My friends already have chosen Ito and Ryu but I am having trouble choosing. Greenys post on all the factions lead me to these three. Silvermoon, Yurei, and Temple. I like how all these sound like they would play (havent played yet). I usually like a playstyle that consists of at least 2 of the 3, D's (something ive come up with :P)

Defense
Durability
Denail

Out of the three factions i listed, which do you think would be a best fit for a new player like me?

not an expert on temple or cult so these are my two cents

temple can do all three. they have tricks that make them extremely durable, and are good at defending and even got some denial.

yurei has good durability with all the kairai having toughness(1) and some even armor with the added rise trait. defense is debatable they're usually to slow to effectively defend when playing the kairai

now silvermoon has good defense with speed and the amount of models they can field. they've got denial with the roses. they seem to have defense with the buto but all they have is toughness 1 and 10 hits while this seems alot they'll die against 4 melee models

Silvermoon.

You have a lot of Defense power: 10 wounds warriors, disguise, possibility of lot of activations, re-rol enemy attacks, rise, throw defenses, steady, bodyguards...

And Denial: Stupid 5, Taunt, Prone attacks, Control powers, best special cards..

Said that, the cult also have this two things but is less Defensive in my oppinion, and only Durable with some specialist models. And like Bayushi said, the 3 factions can do all things realy. Each with its flavour.

I'm partial to Temple, out of those three.  It can give you a lot of options, and I like the synergy it offers.  Temple, IMHO, is pretty tough, with good defense and durability.  Deniability is a little more difficult, but it can be done with Temple.   But I'm not expert...

I would say Silvermoon too. Temple can be good at everything but new players tend to have a hard time figuring out how to use monks other then hitting things hard.

Yurei can do all 3 too but they are dependant on rolls and a couple of factors to be defensive, and they basically just swamp activations with the kairai, and are more about dirty little tricks.

The Silvermoon has defensive figures sutch as the Butos, some nice tricks with the Oyabuns and the Roses and even their foot soldiers can be deadly.

My advice would be to just play a proxy match with all these three. If you can just try all 3 this way then you will be able to decide for yourself. Also you should choose a faction that you like the looks of too (duh...).

Thanks for all the replies guys. I think I'm going to go with Ro-Kan first. I like the models a bit more than Silvermoon at the moment. If Ro-Kan can do all the things I like then I should go with them. Once I get a better handle on the game I'll look into Silvermoon and Yurei.

By starting this pointless squabble, you have done nothing but reveal just how vast your stupidity is. Please refrain from these moments of self-grandeur.
