Some rules questions

Hey there,

last couple of weeks I have been actively playing bushido. (yeay for working in a city with an active group/store)
One of my opponents made the remark that a melee exchange is an opposed test and so would be subject to the rules for tiebreakers, which would make a succes level of 0 almost impossible. Was he correct in that regard?

Another thing which we couldn't find in the rulebook during that game: are you allowed to move through your own models? Or should you be careful in placing your own figures?

Thanks in advance for any answers.
Kind regards,
Joost

ps searching for answers to previous questions is a bit of a pain in the backside, isn't it possible to compile some of those answers? Or if so where can I find those and when will it be updated? angel

We never move through our own models, but not sure where's the rule exactly.

For the melee, your friend's right: first you calculate the level of an attack or defense:

if it ties, the winner is the one with the biggest number of dice

if it's still ties, then the active players wins.

But attack with success level 0 still happen more than you'd think, but you shouldn't expect much from it, it's doesn't hurt that much unless you're an oni.

1.)  Yes, it goes to tiebreakers.  SL0 is fairly common.

2.) Models have a volume, which is impassable.  It might get put into the errata at some point, but GCT doesn't want to make each edition of the errata enormous so it just might get put on the back burner for an errata or two.

Thanks for your answers! yes

Commoner: No one will hear you, no matter how loud you shout. Just think. Which one of these stories do you believe?
Woodcutter: None makes any sense.
Commoner: Don't worry about it. It isn't as if men were reasonable.

Regarding the volume and moving through model's it is in the rulebook that you can't its just not written 'you cannot move through a friendly model'. As ret palmer explained every model has a volume etc etc
