Hi everyone. The errata is now LIVE!
Big thanks to all the players who helped finalise it throughout December, all the playtesters who have been testing it for months, and especially to the new alpha testers team who have done so much work on this to try to make sure all the major issues are dealt with. I hope you'll see more of their work going forwards.
You will be happy to know that we are not doing such a big change again. This kind of massive tidy up only needs doing after a lot of new releases and changes to the game. We did it a few years back and we should be fine for only small tweaks next year and going forward. The game will be stable with no major overhauls planned next year. Of course, any issues that come up can be fixed and minor tweaks may be made.
I should also do a big thanks to the Awoken team and Misstake on the playtesters channel. There was a lot of uncertainty about the faction but thanks to their testing and suggestions we've been able to make minimal changes and make them much more engaging. Future releases will look to secure their part of the mechanics pie and cement their playstyle (as they lost a little bit). Similarly, Sean who helped refine the new Alphas benefit (but the fact that they will surely be gracing top tables soon is its own reward there).
So what's next?
Well, the document is a bit big... Over the next 3 months we'll be laying out and proofing cards for these changes (and all previous changes).
These will be available digitally as PDFs and on the apps and browser army builders.
The rulebook was recently updated, so if you have the current print-run of the rulebook and new cards you won't need any of this.
We're now evaluating the FAQ section as it has a few questions that are not in fact frequent but actually very rare and niche. Once that's condensed down, there will be a much smaller errata and FAQ for people who have the up-to-date materials.
Just one more thing...
The changes to the three princesses is still under review. Likely only the wording will change and the functionality will be the same but I thought people should know.
