Minimoto Clan
The Minimoto clan are as stoic and unyielding as the Iron Mountains they call home. Unparalleled masters of metal craft and the arts of metallurgy and mining. The great mountain not only provides the clan’s wealth but also its protection. This great clan, whose loyalty was once unquestioned by the Takashi, has grown distant of late.
Rumours spread of the Old Bear rousing from too many long winters, slumbering in his mountain halls, and he is hungry. So long on the fringes of the ‘civilised’ world have left the Bear clan without the need or taste for the frivolities of the court.
"The Bear does not dance", but he does fight, and there are few who can oppose its fury.
Playstyle
Children of the Bear Kami, the Minimoto, are the backbone of tradition and reliability of Jwar.
They are built around resilience, a controlled advance and the knowledge that they dominate any battlefield they enter.
The Minimoto are a Samurai faction that are distinguished by their larger health pools as well as very sturdy armour to make up for their lack of mobility.
Besides the traditionally sturdy Samurai, the Minimoto field a healthy range of Shugenja models that rely heavily on ice magic and control of the Kami.
In contrast to that, the Blacksmiths, venerated armour and weaponsmiths of the Minimoto as well as the leaders and priests of their culture, control fire and metal Kami such that the Minimoto can field some of these mystical allies when they enter the field of battle.
Last but not least are the direct embodiments of the Bear Kami, actual bears who fight alongside their human brethren, causing cause havoc and fear among their enemies.
The Minimoto are the right faction for any player who seeks to control the battlefield, stay in the fight and grind their opponents into dust for ultimate victory late in the game.
